Your Body Has Never Stopped Fighting for You
A Letter from My Heart... to Yours
There comes a moment in life when everything changes.
Sometimes it begins with a phone call.
Sometimes it's hearing three words you never imagined would become part of your own story.
"You have cancer."
For me, those words changed everything.
Not just the way I looked at my future...
They changed the way I looked at my own body.
For more than two years, I have lived with uncertainty.
Doctor's appointments.
Scans.
Waiting for results.
Good days filled with hope.
Hard days filled with questions.
If you've ever faced a serious illness—or watched someone you love go through one—you know that uncertainty becomes part of everyday life.
Yet somewhere during my journey,
something unexpected happened.
I stopped asking...
"Why has my body failed me?"
Instead, I began asking a different question.
"How has my body loved me enough to keep
fighting for me every single day?"
That one question changed everything.
While I was sleeping...
My heart never stopped beating.
My lungs never stopped breathing.
My body never stopped repairing.
My immune system continued doing what
it was designed to do.
Every second of every day, my body kept
working to protect me.
It had never stopped trying.
Not once.
And then it hit me.
For years, I had been criticizing the very
body that had never stopped loving me.
I noticed the wrinkles before I noticed the wisdom.
The scars before I noticed the strength.
The pain before I noticed the courage.
My body wasn't asking me for perfection.
It wasn't asking me to be angry with it.
It was asking me for kindness.
That realization softened my heart.
Instead of speaking harshly to myself...
I began saying...
Thank you.
Thank you for carrying me.
Thank you for getting me through another day.
Thank you for never giving up on me.
Even on the days I wanted to give up on myself.
That simple shift changed the way I began living.
I started noticing the little things again.
The warmth of the morning sun.
Fresh air filling my lungs.
The sound of birds before the world wakes up.
The unconditional love of my dogs.
The quiet peace I always found standing beside my horses.
Life slowed down.
And somehow...
Life became richer.
I don't believe our bodies deserve our love
only when they're healthy.
I believe they deserve our love every single day.
On the good days.
On the difficult days.
On the days filled with hope.
And on the days filled with fear.
Because our bodies have never stopped
trying to carry us through this life.
That belief became one of the seeds that
eventually grew into Celluvia.
Not because I believe there is one answer for everyone.
But because I believe every person deserves
a place where they can breathe.
Slow down.
Feel seen.
Feel heard.
And remember they are so much
more than a diagnosis.
If you've found your way here today...
Welcome.
I don't know your story.
But I'm honored you're here.
My hope is that these letters remind
you that your body deserves kindness.
Your heart deserves hope.
And your life still holds beauty—even during
life's most difficult seasons.
Before you continue with your day...
I'd like to ask one small favor.
Place your hand gently over
your heart. Close your eyes.
Take one slow breath.
Then quietly whisper...
Thank you.
Thank you for never giving up on me.
Today, I choose to care for you with the
same love you have shown me every day of my life.
Because your body has never stopped fighting for you.
Maybe today...
Is the day you begin fighting for it with kindness.
With love,
Maria Goodell
🌿 Before You Go...
If this letter touched your heart, I'd love to hear from you.
What is one thing your body has carried
you through that you're grateful for today?
Or simply leave one word that describes how you're feeling.
I read every comment because every story matters.
Until tomorrow...
Be kind to your body. It has been kind to
you every day of your life.

Welcome
